Third Saturday theatre call this month, and my daughter now wants to know which weekends are mine
Emergency lists have pulled me in three Saturdays out of four this month. My partner is home with her, so she's well looked after, but yesterday she asked, quite calmly, which Saturdays are 'my Saturdays' so she can plan. I can't promise her any. I could tell her which ones I'm on the backup rota, but those change too. Do you give a child a calendar when it'll be wrong half the time, or is a vague answer kinder?
