Third day of bringing my 6 year old to work during the school break

silver_marigold_7226

The Dasara break at school is longer than anything my business can pause for. So for three days my son has come to the office with me. He has a corner table, a box of crayons and our old calculator. He has started calling the courier man his colleague. It is fine for now, but there are four more working days and I can see the novelty wearing off for both of us. Is it worth putting a 6 year old into a short holiday camp for the remaining days, or is that just more driving around for me? No family here to leave him with.

Can't help on camps, mine is 8 months. But "his colleague the courier man" got a proper laugh out of me 😂 Please tell me they greet each other every morning.

I've tried both with my 8-year-old. A morning-only camp worked best: three hours of something active, then the afternoon with me at work, where she was tired enough to read or draw quietly. Full-day camps meant two drives and an exhausted child at dinner. If you find something within ten minutes of your office, it may be less running around than it sounds.
