The gold studs from her thakuma have gone into a drawer. She's 14

willow_diary_5588

Her thakuma gave her a pair of small gold studs a few years ago and she wore them every day without thinking about it. Last week they went into a drawer. Gold is 'not her style', apparently, and she wants silver hoops like her friends. I don't mind what she wears in her ears. What I mind is the phone call that will come when her grandmother visits and notices in the first five minutes. Do I ask her to wear the studs for the visit, or let her deal with it herself?

let her tell her grandmother herself. mine did with her nani over a bangle, nani took it fine. it was me who made it a big deal

      Replying to @willow_lantern_8550

Gold for family occasions and hoops the rest of the time sounds like something she might accept. I'll suggest it, but she can be the one to tell her thakuma either way.
