Small playgroup now, AL-Falah School's nursery next June. Does a bigger class matter at 3?

teal_lantern_1022

Our son is in a small playgroup of about eight children, and AL-Falah School in Shaikpet is on our list for nursery next June. I know a school nursery section will be a lot bigger than what he has now. I work in a school myself, so I know the number on paper and the room on a busy morning can be quite different. What I can't judge is whether the jump matters much at three. If your child moved from a tiny group into a big nursery class, there or anywhere else, how did the first months go? Or am I fixating on the wrong thing?

Not about this school. What mattered more for my daughter in nursery was the number of adults in the room. Her class was big, but there was a teacher and two helpers, and nobody waited long for anything. Ask about adults per class, not just children.

This goes back nearly twenty years, my son is 21 now. He was in a nursery class of about 40 with one teacher, and he came out fine. I do remember she didn't seem to know which one was him for the first month ❤️

'came out fine' is doing a lot of work there. mine was in a class of 18 and the teacher noticed in week two that she wasn't touching her lunch. in a class of 40 i doubt anyone would have

      Replying to @citrus_quilt_3751

Both of you are describing one child each. Ask the school how many adults are in the room at lunch and at dispersal. Those are the busy times.
