Signed up to read a story to my daughter's playschool class. Fourteen three-year-olds

The playschool has a parents' reading morning once a month and I put my name down for July before I had thought it through. Twenty minutes, one book, fourteen children aged three, and my daughter, who will either be very proud or climb into my lap. I run interviews for a living, usually with adults who sit still. Which books held a room of three-year-olds for you? And is twenty minutes realistic, or should I plan for ten and improvise the rest?

My partner teaches, and the advice I got when I did this for our younger one's class was to pick a book with a line that repeats, so the children can join in by the third page. Plan for ten minutes of reading and ten of them shouting the animal noises. Also, sit on a low chair rather than the floor; you'll need to get up quickly when someone wanders off.

The repeating line is exactly the kind of detail I was after. I'll look for one with animals in it, since the shouting is apparently part of the plan. Thank you.
