Settling-in days for nursery at GSB Brilliant High School, for a 3 year old who has never been left

lagoon_lantern_196

My sister-in-law lives near Charminar, and her daughter starts nursery next June. GSB Brilliant High School is close to her house and she plans to visit soon. The little one has never been away from her mother, not even for an hour with relatives. My sister-in-law isn't worried about the school as such, only about the first few weeks. Do they let a parent sit in or wait nearby in the early days, or is it drop at the gate from day one? Anything current or past parents can share would help her know what to ask on the visit.

I'll share what she finds out after the visit, she's planning to go next week. Hope it helps you too when you get there ♥

My daughter went to a State Board school in the old city many years ago, not this one. In her nursery the mothers were allowed to sit on a bench outside the classroom for the first week, and then the teacher quietly asked us to leave a little earlier each day. I cannot say how any school does it now, so the visit is the right place to ask that directly.

Will she be the one doing drop and pickup in those first weeks? If someone else has to take over later, it may help to get the child used to that person early as well.

asked about settling-in at three schools last year. every one said parents can stay 'in the beginning'. at the one he started at in june, that meant about an hour on the first day, then gate drop. ask what day three looks like, not day one
