Second language and homework at Urban International, Gajularamaram, if she moves for class 4

orchid_moon_9007

She starts class 3 next month and is settled enough for now, but we are looking at a few CBSE schools for a possible move the year after. Urban International in Gajularamaram is on the list. Before we visit, I want two things from people who know it, not from the brochure. One, which second languages are offered from class 4, Hindi only or Telugu too? We speak Odia at home, so neither is easy. Two, is there written work every evening in the primary classes, and roughly how long does it take?

No idea about that school, sorry. On the language part we're in a similar spot, Marathi at home and Hindi at school, and our son picked it up faster than we did. Telugu might be harder coming from Odia, but kids surprise you 🙂

My grandson's parents visited Urban International last year when choosing for him. They went with another school, so I can't speak to the homework. I don't remember what they were told about languages. The question we later wished we had asked everywhere was whether the second language can be changed after a year if it isn't working.

Adding that to the list. Why did they go elsewhere, if you don't mind me asking? Distance, or something about the school?

Did you end up visiting? Curious what they said on the language question.
