Pulling up on every piece of furniture, and the corner guards are off by evening

fig_compass_3027

Our son now pulls up on anything he can reach and cruises along the sofa, the coffee table and the TV unit. My partner is home with him most days and spends a good part of it sticking corner guards back on. He has peeled off four already and tried to eat one. What held up in your houses? Or did you move furniture out for a few months?

When our daughter started cruising we sent the glass coffee table off to my in-laws and didn't bring it back for a year. It was the only thing with a corner at exactly her head height. The guards we tried all came off too. The ones that lasted were foam strips that run along the whole edge, not the little corner caps.

Moving the table out might be simpler than anything else. I'll look for the full-edge strips. Did they leave a mark on the wood when they came off?

The full-edge strips left a faint mark on our wooden table, nothing polish didn't take off. What surprised us more was the TV unit. We had thought about the table. We hadn't thought about the low unit with sharp handles until he stood up holding one.

      Replying to @fig_compass_3027

Ours left a mark on a veneer table and none on solid wood, for what it's worth. We also fixed the TV unit to the wall at this stage. With a cruiser pulling on it, that felt more urgent than the corners.

ours peeled them off and handed them to us every time, like a receipt. we gave up and moved the table to the balcony
