His grandparents video call every evening, so somewhere along the way he has worked out that the ringtone means a happy face is coming. Now he kicks and squeals every time my phone rings. Today it was a loan offer. He gave the poor man the biggest smile of the week. I had to hang up on him.

Ours pressed accept on a work call last month. My manager got a full minute of heavy breathing before I found the phone.
Our daughter used to stop crying for one particular ringtone on her Dida's phone. Dida never changed that phone for years because of it. She's 14 now and pretends not to remember 😊
That's so lovely. He's learnt that the sound means someone who loves him appears on the screen. The loan agent just got lucky ❤️
that's exactly it. my son still perks up at one ringtone, his grandmother's. he's sixteen and would deny it
