Delivery calls come at all hours, and she has heard enough of them. Last night the phone rang during dinner, she picked it up before I could and said, very calmly, 'Is it a baby? She's coming.' It was the bank. The bank was confused. I was trying very hard not to laugh.
mine used to tell callers 'amma is seeing a child, call later'. including the gas booking people. she's 14 now and pretends this never happened
at least yours was polite. mine has started asking the labour room 'how many centimetres' and i would like to know where she picked that up
the bank deserved it. my son tells every caller 'papa's on rounds', including when i'm standing right next to him
