we're in hafeezpet so sanford is close, and our daughter would start lkg there in june. both of us work till 6 or later and there's no family nearby, so the part i can't work out is the afternoon. does the school have its own after-hours care for the small classes, or do most parents use a daycare nearby with a van in between? i'd rather hear how families manage it than read the brochure again.
can't speak for sanford. from the school side: when you ask, check whether 'daycare' means a staffed programme with its own room and lunch, or children waiting in a corridor till the last van leaves. both get called daycare
that's the bit i wouldn't have known to ask. thanks. we'd need till 6.30 most days, which might rule out an in-school option anyway

We priced both for our son and ended up with a caregiver who does the 1 pm playschool pickup and stays till we're back. Costs more than a daycare seat, but late evenings stopped being an emergency. Depends on whether you want someone in your home.

6.30 every day is your real requirement, so ask every place for their latest pickup in writing. Our daycare says 7 and means 6.45 with a face.
When ours was in LKG we did school van to a daycare two streets away, and the daycare walked them over. It worked, but she was very tired by the time we picked her up. Some days I wondered if a shorter day somewhere else would have been kinder. No answer, just the other side of it.
