Little Scholar School in Sanathnagar is on my way to work. Thinking about it for both boys

moss_paper_2041

Little Scholar is right on my office route, Sanathnagar side. If both boys went there it would be one drop in the morning instead of two in opposite directions, which is our life right now older one is finishing class 2, little one would start nursery. is the nursery on the same campus as the primary classes or somewhere separate. and does having one child there already help the younger one get a seat, or is that only a thing at some schools

two boys here too, same school. the upside nobody mentions is the older one looks out for the little one in the van. the downside is every teacher who taught the first one compares them

Ask timings first. Ours: nursery done by 12, primary at 3.30. One drop, two pickups.

Is that gap usual? We're a year or two away from nursery and I'd assumed one pickup for siblings at the same school. Did you use the school van for the younger one, or a caregiver?

worth asking how many nursery sections they have. one school we saw last year had a single small nursery section and most seats went to siblings and staff kids before the forms were even out. no idea if that's how it works here

that's what i'm trying to work out. if siblings get first shot then putting the older one in first and the little one later might be the way. but i'm not moving a kid for that alone

      Replying to @moss_paper_2041

don't, at least not for that reason alone. my son's best friend was moved in class 3, mostly for his parents' commute, and he took most of that year to find his people again. we saw it up close because he spent half his evenings at our place. if it were me i'd wait for a natural break like class 5 or 6. mind you this was a dozen years back, admissions were a lot simpler then

Worth doing that route at 8 in the morning on a school day before you count on it. Sanathnagar may be on your way, but if the drop-off queue at the gate takes twenty minutes, the one drop still makes you late. We dropped a school on my route for exactly that reason. Not saying don't, just check it before the summer holidays start and the roads go quiet.
