Is logging every feed and nappy in an app helping us, or just making us more anxious?

Our daughter is a month old. My partner records everything: feed start and end, which side, every wet and dirty nappy, sleep to the minute. The app turns it into charts. Each evening we look at the charts and find something new to worry about, like a feed that was six minutes shorter than yesterday's. The paediatrician did ask for wet nappy counts in the first week, so it had a use. Is there a point where people stop? Or did you keep going and find it useful later?

We were exactly like this with our daughter, a notebook instead of an app back then. Around six weeks the doctor said she was gaining well and we just stopped. The only things I wish we had kept writing down were vaccination dates and any medicines, because those you need later.

Our notebook turned up a few years ago. Pages and pages for the first month, then one line a week, then nothing. Neither of us remembers deciding to stop.
