How much screen time is there in pre-nursery at Diamond Public School, Tolichowki?

We might rent closer to Tolichowki next year, and Diamond Public School came up because it starts from pre-nursery. Our daughter is in daycare now, which has no screens at all, and I'd like to keep it that way for a while. I look at eyes all day for a living, so I'm probably more fussed about this than most 🤷 Does anyone know whether the pre-nursery rooms use a smart board, and for what? Rhymes for ten minutes is fine. An hour of videos is not.

    I drive past it most mornings but have never been inside, so the classroom details are beyond me. My younger son's class 1 has a smart board and it's on for maybe twenty minutes a day, stories and a counting song. Pre-nursery could be less. Worth asking when you visit :)

      Twenty minutes of stories is about what my daughter had at that age too. The phone at home was the bigger thing to manage, honestly. Ask the school, but the home rules matter more.

    Speaking as someone who works in a school, though not this one: ask the office plainly what the screen is used for and for how long in a day. Any school should be able to answer that in a sentence. If the answer is vague, ask to see a pre-nursery timetable.

    most pre-nursery rooms have one now. ask how many minutes and what for. ours mostly used it for rhymes and a clap-along, which my younger one still sings at dinner 😂
