How does EuroSchool Kukatpally settle children who join in class 4?

We're thinking about renting on the Kukatpally side next year, nothing decided. Our son would be joining in class 4 and our daughter is staying where she is, so this is only about him. He took a long time to settle when he changed sections in class 1, so I'm less worried about the syllabus and more about the first few weeks. Do they put new joiners with a buddy, or is it just straight into the class? And what does the after-school side look like for the primary classes, any clubs or sports that run past dismissal? If your child joined there in class 3 or 4, I'd be glad to hear how the first term went, smooth or not.
