How does Buds & Flowers in Banjara Hills send urgent notices to parents?

Looking at Buds & Flowers High School in Banjara Hills for my daughter. She's 9 and would join class 5 next year. Most of my office days are on that side anyway, so the drive works, at least on paper. One thing I've started weighing that I never thought about before is how a school talks to parents. At her current school everything goes into one class group, 300 messages a day. Last month an early closure for rain was buried somewhere between a birthday video and a long uniform debate, and I found out from the security guard at pickup 😅 For parents there now: do urgent things come by app, SMS or a group? And is it a group where only the school posts, or one where everyone does?

no idea about this school specifically. i do pickup and homework for my nephew, different school, and their group is the same circus. what saved us is that urgent things also come as an sms from the office number. boring but correct. i only watch that

I'm close by in Somajiguda but no kids yet, so I can't tell you anything about the school itself. When you visit, I would ask the front office directly how urgent notices go out and whether parents can reply on that channel. If the answer is 'the class group', you know what you're getting. Groups in my family do the same thing with wedding dates. By the third forward nobody knows which one is real.
