How do you evaluate whether a school is genuinely inclusive, not just saying the right words?

We are looking at schools for a child who may need learning support. Every admissions team says they are inclusive, but the details get vague. What specific questions should we ask about classroom accommodations, special educators and communication with parents? If you faced the same decision and later changed your mind, I would love to know why.
