How do you evaluate whether a school is genuinely inclusive, not just saying the right words — looking for recent parent experiences

We are looking at schools for a child who may need learning support. Every admissions team says they are inclusive, but the details get vague. What specific questions should we ask about classroom accommodations, special educators and communication with parents?

    Ask who will actually deliver the support day to day, not only whether the school 'has a special educator'. The staffing and coordination details matter. We learned to ask who is responsible for each support, not only what is written in policy. We made the change gradually rather than all at once.
