Son starts class 5 in June. His school is fine, but it's 40 minutes each way in traffic, and Langar Houz is much closer to us in Attapur. Thinking of moving him for class 6 next year. Anyone with kids at Horizon, or who has visited? Mainly want to know how class 6 joiners are taken in (test, interaction?) and how long the school day runs.
not school age here yet 😅 but 40 min each way is 80 min of his day. we picked our daycare purely on distance for that reason
That's the maths I keep doing. 80 minutes a day is a lot of reading and play he isn't getting 🤷
i work in school admin, not there. for class 6 joiners most schools do a short english and maths paper plus a chat. ask when they hold it, some test in jan or feb and fill up early. and ask to see the class 6 timetable, not the brochure.
Asking for the actual timetable is a good one, noting it for when mine is older. Is January really when they test? I assumed everything happened in summer.
