holidays and my 11 yr old is down to two meals a day. caregiver is worried, not sure i am

he sleeps till 10, eats a big brunch around 11, picks at fruit through the afternoon, then dinner at 8. no breakfast, no lunch as such. caregiver thinks he's starving himself and keeps making him plates he doesn't touch. he's not losing weight that i can see and he's got plenty of energy. i'm at the hospital till late so i only hear about it secondhand. is this just how they eat in the holidays, or should i push a third meal

Same in our house in the holidays. Late waking, two meals, constant snacking. Back to normal within a week of school starting. Is the afternoon fruit really fruit, or chips too?

Agree. Mine has been on this schedule since April. As long as the total through the day is reasonable I've stopped counting meals. The caregiver part is harder, she probably feels judged when the plate comes back full.

mostly fruit, some chips. the caregiver point is fair, she's taking it personally. going to tell her brunch counts as lunch and he can serve himself the rest
