he's six months and every adult in the house has a different first food planned

teal_violin_2056

my plan: ragi or rice, plain, one spoon. caregiver's plan: mashed banana because 'all babies love it'. partner's plan: let him grab things off our plates, saw it in some video we start this weekend. he's going to get banana, isn't he. what did your first week of solids look like, and how much did they really eat

midnight feed here with our 3 month old. nowhere near this stage but my ma has already planned the mukhe bhaat and decided the menu. payesh. we're months away. tell us which plan wins

update since you asked. day 1 banana, caregiver won, obviously. he made a face like we'd betrayed him. day 2 ragi, swallowed maybe three spoons and wore the rest. day 3 he grabbed a bit of soft idli off my plate and gummed it for ten minutes, so my partner is now unbearable. total eaten so far: about one tablespoon
