son is almost 1. I do daycare pickup at 6 and he's out cold before we reach the main road. sleeps 20-30 min in the car seat, wakes up the second I lift him out and then he is fully charged till 11 my US calls start at 9 so most nights I'm on a call with a baby on my knee 🤷 keep him awake in the car somehow or just accept late nights for now
keep him awake. windows down, talk nonstop, a rice puff in each hand. my younger one did exactly this at that age and the 20 minute car nap cost us two hours every night. took about a week of me doing traffic commentary like it was a test match
snack in the car seat. banana or a piece of dosa. hard to fall asleep while chewing 😂
Mine is 3 months and the car is the one place he sleeps without a fight, so I was planning to depend on it for a long time 😊 Didn't know it turns into this later. Noting all of it.
Our daughter has started the same thing in the last few weeks. Two things have helped a little. On two days I pick her up 20 minutes earlier so she naps at daycare instead, and on the other days I sing very badly at every signal. Not elegant, but she mostly stays awake. Hope the late calls get a bit easier ❤
