Grade 10 personal project on baking bread. Is that enough of a project?

Bread baking. That's the topic our older daughter has chosen for her grade 10 (IB) personal project. The kitchen is now hers four evenings a week. Her little sister, who is 3, has appointed herself official taster and gives every loaf the same review: 'yummy'. My worry is whether it's too light. Her classmates seem to be doing apps and short films. She says the process journal is what counts and her supervisor approved the topic. I don't want to second-guess her, but it would be awful for her to discover in a few months that it was too thin. Has anyone's child done a simple-sounding topic? How did it turn out?

Up at 3 for a delivery deadline, so take this with a pinch of salt. My daughter is ICSE and much younger, so I know nothing about the IB side. But apps and short films sound impressive and half of them never actually work. A loaf either rises or it doesn't, and she has to explain why. That sounds like the more honest project to me :) Does she have a target, like one particular bread she wants to get right by the end?
