Four months in, and our own dinners are toast and leftovers eaten standing up

orchid_bookmark_6829

The baby eats beautifully. We don't. Most nights it's toast, curd rice from the morning, or whatever is in the freezer, in shifts. By evening neither of us has the energy to cook. What did you eat in this phase that took ten minutes? Not looking for meal plans, just what you made on a normal night. Amma's advice to 'just make proper saaru anna' is not helping.

Shift worker here, so this is how we eat most weeks anyway. On Sunday: one big pot of dal, a tray of roasted vegetables, a dozen boiled eggs, chapati dough in the fridge. Every weeknight is some mix of those in ten minutes. Khichdi in the pressure cooker covers the nights when even that's too much.
