Fitness certificate after every daycare absence. I'm a doctor. Do I sign my own daughter's?
New rule from this month. Any absence of two days or more needs a doctor's fitness certificate before she can go back. Holidays included, because children 'pick things up while travelling'. I'm a dermatologist. Writing one for my own child feels wrong, and they haven't said whether they'd accept it anyway. A paediatrician slot just for a signature means a cancelled clinic session for me, since my partner can't get away. She was out four days last week for a family function. Nothing wrong with her. Is this normal for daycares here? Did yours accept a parent's note, or does everyone just pay for the visit?
