Every school event goes in my work calendar as 'personal'. My new manager shares everything about her kids

I've always kept work and home separate. PTMs, sports day, the paediatrician, all of it goes in as 'personal, 2 hrs' and nobody asks. New manager since April. She opens every call with something about her two boys and blocks 'school pickup' openly. Nobody seems to mind. I'm starting to wonder if my approach just reads as me being unavailable for no reason. Anyone switched from vague to open at work? Did it change how people treated your time?
