Every dinner now gets a score out of ten from our 8 year old

It started after a cooking show at her grandmother's place. Now every dinner gets a score, announced to the table, with comments. Monday's dal got a 6 and "needs more effort". The chapatis got an 8 because they were round. The little one has started holding up fingers too, always all ten, for everything, including the bitter gourd she didn't eat. I have been cooking for this family for years and I'm now waiting for my scores like a contestant.

Our son did star ratings at about that age. The system collapsed when he gave instant noodles five stars and his grandmother's sambar four. There was a family meeting.

Something to look forward to. Mine currently rates food by how far he can throw it.

      Replying to @willow_violin_3687

That is also a rating system. A very honest one.
