We are early in the process and still understanding our child's learning profile. I would love to hear from parents about practical school supports that actually helped — extra time, reduced copying, assistive tools, resource-room sessions, teacher flexibility or something else.
Please do not feel you have to choose every therapy or support at once. We got better results when the child still had enough unstructured time to be a child. We changed our approach after about a month because the first plan was too hard to sustain. The child having some free time remained important for us too. We are in Coimbatore, so local logistics may be a little different.
If possible, talk to another parent currently using the school's support system. Their experience can reveal the gap between policy and everyday practice. We are in Vijayawada and this came up for us last year.
