Does Sai Grammar in Kothapet have a proper library period for the primary classes?

We're widening our search for next year and the Kothapet side keeps coming up, mostly because rents there are easier on us. A friend who lives nearby mentioned Sai Grammar High School, so I'm starting to ask around. My son is 8 and reads constantly, about snakes, trains, space, anything except the books on the school's reading list. What he really enjoys is choosing his own book. At his current ICSE school there's a weekly library period where they can borrow freely, and it's the one part of school he talks about. Do Sai Grammar parents know if the younger classes get regular library time, and whether children can take books home?

Worth asking at any school, whichever you pick: whether the library period stays a library period near exams or gets used to finish the syllabus.

Is it the library you're worried about, or the reading list itself? If it's the list, moving from ICSE to State Board will change it completely anyway. Which class would he be joining?
