Daycare form wants two emergency contacts who aren't us. Neither family lives in Hyderabad

Annual form update at daycare. Two emergency contacts, not the parents, who can reach the centre within an hour. Both sets of grandparents are out of state. There's a neighbour we get on well with, and a colleague who lives nearby. Asking either feels like a lot. What did other families without relatives in the city put down? Did you ask first, or write the name and tell them afterwards?

Ask first, and tell them what it really involves. For us it was 'you might get one call a year to collect him and keep him for two hours'. Put like that, a colleague agreed immediately. We are on her list for her children in return.
