Daughter is dropping her French minor after one year. Do I get a say?

She chose it herself last year. Now she says it takes too many hours for 'one line on the transcript' and wants an economics elective instead. I teach languages, so I'm the wrong person to be neutral, and I've said nothing so far. Has anyone pushed back on a choice like this at college level? Did it make any difference, or just make you the parent who pushed?
