school shuts for the dasara holidays soon. my partner and i alternate office days but there are 4 or 5 days where both of us have to be out. son is in class 12, home studying anyway. daughter is in class 3 he's said yes. not sure it's fair on him in his board year

no experience with that age gap, mine are both still in preschool. our daycare runs a holiday batch for school kids though. maybe something like that near you, even for half the day

half day might work. she'd hate a full day anywhere. will look

We did this in the summer with our son and daughter, five years apart. Our son took the mornings and his grandparents took the afternoons, so he had a clear block to study after lunch. Two things helped. We paid him a small amount so it was a job rather than a favour, and we left a written plan for lunch and screen time so he wasn't the one inventing rules. Is there anyone who could cover half of each day?
