Could a class 3 child walk to Sri Saraswathi High School in Banjara Hills, or is it all cars at the gate?

Daughter's in class 3, 35 min each way by car to her current school. Sri Saraswathi in Banjara Hills is a ten-minute walk, which is most of its appeal for us. State Board, so that's a separate question. Before I go further: do any primary kids there walk in with a parent? The road outside looked busy the one time I drove past. Not keen to swap a 35-min drive for a 10-min walk through traffic 😄

Can't speak for Sri Saraswathi. My daughter walked to her old school with me from class 2, and what made it work was a side gate away from the car queue, plus a crossing guard on the main road. Ask whether walkers have their own gate. If everyone uses the one gate, the walk is the worst part of the morning 🙂

We're at the nursery end of this search for our son, and Banjara Hills schools are on our list since it's close to Begumpet. I'd add the evening side too. Morning drop is one thing, but who walks back with her at dispersal if you're on a call? That's the bit that tripped up a friend who chose a walkable school.

Go and stand outside at 8 on a weekday for ten minutes, then again at dispersal. You'll have your answer.
