Considering St. Martins in Malkajgiri after a mid-year teacher change at our current school

Daughter is 10, class 5, at a school a bit further from home. Her class teacher left just before the Dasara break and a new teacher has taken over. We got one line in the diary about it, nothing else. She liked the old teacher a lot and is a bit unsettled, though the new one may well turn out fine, it's only been two weeks. It has got us thinking about St. Martins High School since it's close by. Not deciding anything yet. For current parents there: when a class teacher changes, how do you usually come to know, and do parents get a chance to meet the new teacher? Just trying to understand how other schools handle these transitions.
