Chaitanya High School in Dilsukhnagar for LKG next year. What should I look at on a first visit?

breezy_bottle_5969

We've started looking at flats on the Dilsukhnagar side, nothing decided yet. Our son is 3 and at a small preschool near home. If we do move, Chaitanya High School is close to the areas we're considering, and it runs nursery to class 10 on CBSE, which would save us another change later. I've never been to see a big school for a child this small. Apart from timings and transport, what did you look at or ask when you visited a school for LKG? I'd like to walk in with a short list instead of wandering around nodding.

Ask where the LKG classrooms are in the building, and where the children eat and use the toilet. For us that told more than the brochure did. Also how many adults are in the room, not only teachers.

toilets, yes. also ask what happens in the first two weeks. some schools let a parent sit in, some take them at the gate. ours was the gate, and nobody told us till that morning

from the school side: it's vacation now, so you'll mostly see empty classrooms and the admissions desk. if you can wait till june, ask to come on a normal working day. and ask how long the current lkg teachers have been there. you can't check much in one visit but that answer tells you something
