caregiver adds sugar to my 2 yr old's ragi, curd, everything. how do i bring it up?

she's lovely with my daughter otherwise, been with us a year. but i finally watched a full lunch on my comp-off day. sugar in the ragi malt, sugar in the curd, a little on the dosa 'so she eats'. she does eat, to be fair. i don't want to offend her or make it sound like she's been doing something wrong. how did you say it to your nanny?

How much sugar, exactly? A pinch in curd and three spoons in ragi are different conversations. Measure it once before you raise it, otherwise it's your impression against hers.

Measuring is fair, but I wouldn't wait long on it. With our cook it was never the amount, it was that my daughter learned food comes sweet. Took us a year to undo. A small spoon is still the habit.

      Replying to @maple_balcony_8145

measured today. one spoon in the ragi, half in curd. so not huge. but the habit part is what bothers me 🤷

Tell her what to do instead, not just 'less sugar'. Mashed banana or dates in the ragi. She wants the child to eat, so give her another way to get there.
