Son is 12 and he and three friends want to take an auto to the mall in Gachibowli on Saturday for a movie, no adults. My partner is mostly fine with it. I'm the one dragging my feet. So at dinner we did the what-if round. Auto driver takes a different road? Share location, call home. Movie runs late? Message before it starts. Phone dies? "Borrow someone's phone and call home. Not you, Papa. You never pick up in release week." Fair. Bilkul fair. Still deciding about the movie. Not arguing about the phone part.
