we spend a lot of weekends at my partner's family's place in amberpet and keep talking about moving that side. nothing's decided. my son finishes lkg at a playschool in gachibowli this month, so if we did move it'd be for class 1 next year. anantha sai vidya nikethan is one we've driven past a few times. two basics i couldn't find anywhere: what time the little ones get out, and whether class 1 has seats for outside children or is mostly filled from their own ukg. we're undecided on board too, so any general sense of the place helps.

On the second question only, since I don't know this school: when we were choosing for my nephew, most schools told us class 1 seats for outside children depend on how many of their own UKG children move up, and they only know that around January. Ask when they start a waiting list, so you aren't late if the move happens.

Himayatnagar is close to there. I don't know the school. Go in on any weekday morning and you'll get the timings at the front office in five minutes and see the dismissal for yourself.

on the board question. a colleague's son did primary at a state board school on that side and moved to icse in class 6. he says the switch was fine, the english writing took a term to catch up
