40 minutes alone between the school van and my partner getting home. he's in class 3

partner starts a course in june that runs till early afternoon. the van drops him at 2.50, partner is back by about 3.30. i'm at the hospital till late most days. options are the building guard keeping an eye, a neighbour, or he lets himself in with a key. he says he's fine. he probably is. too young?
