daycare van drops my 3 year old home at 6. helper leaves at 5.30. i'm back from rounds by 6.30 on a good day four days a week someone needs to be there for that half hour and right now its been my partner leaving work early which isn't going to last. how are others covering a gap this small, nobody wants a job for 30 mins
ask the van if he can be dropped last instead of first. our driver reshuffled the order when we explained, now my daughter reaches home 25 mins later. doesnt fix it fully but shrinks the gap
we had a similar gap for years when our son was small. a retired aunty two floors down kept him for that half hour, we paid her a small amount every month. building whatsapp group is where we found her
we moved in recently so dont know many people in the building yet. didnt think of asking there. the van reshuffle someone mentioned might buy me 20 mins, will try both
