15 year old wants to learn the scooty inside our society, three years before she can ride it legally

A friend of hers has started riding around their society, and now our daughter wants to learn on my partner's scooty, 'not on the road, only inside'. My partner thinks it's harmless if one of us walks alongside. I keep thinking of the little kids on cycles and the delivery bikes that come through at speed, and of the fact that she can't legally take it on a road for another three years anyway. So what is she learning it for now? Am I being the overcautious one here? 🤷

'Inside the society' is still a road. With toddlers, reversing cars and delivery bikes. If she learns, I'd want it on an empty ground with someone who teaches people for a living, not in lanes your neighbours walk in. And I'd ask her what the hurry is. If the answer is 'my friend does it', that's not a plan.

Agree on the ground. Our elder one started asking at 14, we said 18 and a proper driving school, and the asking stopped once his friends found something else to show off 😄 Yeh phase bhi nikal jaata hai.
