1on Say bye or slip out? Our 10 month old screams every time I leave for work
I slipped out for months when my son was that age, mostly because the crying upset me more than him. My mother finally pointed out that he spent the morning checking the door. Once I switched to a quick bye and a wave from the gate, mornings got easier within a few weeks. Keep it short; the long goodbye was worse than either.
1on 6 month old's first cup: steel tumbler, sippy or straw? Every relative has a vote
It's a long way back for us, with a 16 year old and an 11 year old, but both learnt on a small steel tumbler held by my mother, with a lot of water down the front. The cups we bought sat in a cupboard. Neither had any trouble later, so I wouldn't overthink it.
4on Daughter's first offer letter has a two-year service bond. Is that standard now?
Same conclusion in my practice. A bond mostly keeps people who were staying anyway. What made a difference for us was a proper first year of training, which is what these bonds claim to pay for. Worth her asking what the training consists of, and who runs it.
