  • 1on Which classroom accommodations did your school follow through on?

This is a very sensible way to go in. From families I've worked with, the ones that tend to last are things a teacher can do without extra staff or extra time: where she sits, instructions given in writing as well as out loud, a quick check that she's understood before she starts, and a set amount of extra time for written tests if the report supports it. Vague items like "be patient with her" or "encourage her" sound good and change nothing. I'd also ask who in the school keeps track and agree a review date, maybe before the final exams. And involve her a little, at 10 she'll have opinions about what feels embarrassing in front of friends.

  • 1on travelling during baby's next vaccine visit and all the papers are where only i know

We had the same lopsided setup with our son. What finally worked was boring: one shared folder in a cloud drive, both of us with access, and a rule that whoever gets a report uploads it the same day with the date in the file name. The physical folder stays for the vaccination card, because clinics still want to see the card itself. The apps that promise to do all of it never stuck for us.

  • 3on Daycare plays rhymes on a TV during lunch. We don't do screens at home with our 1 year old

Working with children all day, I'd worry less about the screen itself than about whether anyone is talking to the children while they eat. Mealtimes are a big language moment at this age. If the staff are chatting with them and the rhymes are background, fine. If everyone is silently staring at the screen, that's what I'd bring up ❤️

  • 1on Our baby's doctor explains everything very fast, and I understand only half

It is completely okay to ask. In my work I meet many parents who nod because the room is busy, and the professional usually has no idea they were lost. One simple line works: 'Please, can you write the medicine and the timing for me?' Most will do it on the prescription itself. ❤

  • 6on My daughter would rather I skip her show than leave halfway for a call

Could you sit somewhere she can't see from the stage? At our school's shows we suggest that parents who may be called away take an end seat at the back, so a quiet exit doesn't register with the children. Then tell her plainly that's the plan, and that if you go, it isn't a choice. She's told you exactly what hurt, which says a lot about how much she trusts you ❤

  • 1on Waist-length hair since she was a baby, and now she wants a chin-length cut

Practical bit first: waist to chin is a big jump, and some kids regret the in-between. If she's at all unsure, shoulder length first. But it sounds like she has thought about it, and feeling guilty means she cares about her grandmother. That's a good sign ❤
