Trying to understand Montessori beyond the brochure

Anthea Montessori House of Children has come up while we make a preschool shortlist. I know Montessori is a broad word and don't want to assume what happens at a particular centre. For a parent who is new to this, which questions get beyond the labels and tell you how the day is organised?

Ask them to describe what an adult does when a child wants to switch activities. The answer tells you more about their approach than a row of materials.

I'd ask how they communicate what a child has been working on without turning every small activity into a scorecard.
