Toddler cousin staying for the festival week. How do I keep my grandson's small toys out of her mouth?

Both families will be at our house for the Ganesh festival, including my grandson's cousin, who is just over a year old and into everything. My grandson is six. His corner of the house is full of small building pieces, marbles and a magnet set. Since it is our home, I have been asked to organise things. I raised my own children when nobody worried much about these matters, so I would rather ask. What arrangements have worked for you when a toddler and a school-age child share a house for a week?

When my nephew's baby stayed with us, we gave the older children one room with a door for anything with small pieces, and a rule that building sets stay on the table, not the floor. The older ones liked having a room that was theirs. A toilet-roll tube is a rough guide for what is small enough to be a problem; anything that fits through it went up high or into that room.
