Still feeding my UKG daughter dinner by hand, and at school she waits for someone to feed her

Her UKG teacher stopped me at pickup this week. Nothing serious, she said, but our daughter sits with her tiffin open and waits, and eats only if one of the didis helps her. Her box has come back almost full most days, so I wasn't surprised. What I didn't say is that at home I still feed her dinner with my hand most nights, because it's faster and she eats properly. My mother did the same with me in Indore. But I'm starting to think that is exactly why she sits at school waiting for someone. Did anyone stop feeding a 5 year old all at once? Or is it better done slowly?
