One small colony park, evening cricket and toddlers on the same patch. How do other colonies share it?

Our colony park in Alwal is not big. From about 5.30 the older boys play cricket across the middle, my 6 year old grandson hovering at the edges of their game. At the same time the mothers and grandmothers bring the toddlers for the swings and the sand, which sit on the edge of the same patch. Yesterday a tennis ball went straight past a little one's head. Nobody was hurt, but everyone was rattled. I'm one of the regular grandparents there and people have started looking to me to suggest something. Has any colony found a fair way to split the time or the space between the cricket and the very young ones?
