My son wants to record thalattu songs for his new baby cousin. Which ones did you sing?

My sister's baby came last month in Chennai. My son is learning Carnatic and he has decided his gift will be a recording of lullabies, sung by him. Very sweet, but he only knows 'Aararo aariraro' and one film song. I sang to him when he was small but now I can't remember more than two. Which lullabies did you sing to your babies? Any language is fine, he likes learning new ones. Posting late because only now the house is quiet.

What a lovely gift. I sang 'Chandamama raave' to both of mine. It's Telugu and very easy to pick up, the tune is so simple a child who learns Carnatic will have it in five minutes ❤️

Up at 2 too. My mother sang 'Jo Achyutananda' to our daughter. Annamayya. Your son may already know the raga.

One from the Gujarati side: we call them halardu. Every family has its own words, and my mother's version had our names in it. Maybe he can put the baby's name into one of his. If I were your sister that would make my whole week ❤️

Early start today and saw this 🙂 Not a song suggestion, but record him in a quiet room in the morning, not at night. My daughter's recording for her grandmother had the pressure cooker going in the background of every song.
