Daycare says he sits by the door from 6.15 and watches. Should I move my hours?
Daycare closes at 7 and I usually reach at 6.50. Twice this month his teacher has mentioned, kindly, that from about 6.15, once the other children start leaving, he sits near the door and watches it. He isn't upset when I arrive. He just looks like he has been waiting. My mornings are predictable, so I could ask to start at 8 and leave by 5. That means moving two regular review meetings, which is possible but not easy, and my partner, who teaches, can't take over any of the evening. Is this something children that small notice and remember, or am I reading too much into half an hour at a door? If you shifted your hours for this, did you see a difference?
