Caregiver called in sick for tomorrow and I have an in-person demo at 11

First time this has happened in seven months, and of course it's the week I have a client demo across the city. Our caregiver called an hour ago, fever, won't come tomorrow, maybe Tuesday. We have no backup. My partner has a lab day that may or may not move. The baby is 9 months, crawls everywhere, can't exactly come to a client office 😅 What do people do the first time this happens? Is there such a thing as a day sitter you can find on a Sunday night?

Can the demo move to the afternoon, or be done remotely? That's usually easier to change than childcare on a Sunday night. And is the lab day something your partner truly can't swap, or just inconvenient?

Can't go remote, it's the hardware they want to see. Afternoon maybe, I've messaged them. Partner is checking on the lab day now.

Update for anyone in the same spot later: partner is taking the morning, client agreed to 3 pm, so I'll do the handover at 2. Caregiver may be back Tuesday. And I'm now sitting here at midnight writing a list of three people we could call next time, which I should have done in month one.
